What is the POPJAM Slack app?
POPJAM's marketing engine as a Slack bot. Your team chats with the POPJAM copilot in threads, launches whole ad campaigns with /popjam campaign or an App Home modal, runs deep research, and gets results pushed back into the same thread: top creatives with simulated audience reactions, generated images and videos uploaded right there. It runs the same engine as the web app and the MCP server.
How do I connect my POPJAM account?
Install the app with the Add to Slack button, then message the bot or run /popjam link. It replies with a button that opens the POPJAM web app with a short-lived link code; your logged-in session claims it and the two accounts are connected. Each teammate links once, and /popjam unlink disconnects. A free POPJAM account starts with 500 credits and needs no credit card.
Can the bot read our channels?
No. The app requests a review-minimal set of eight scopes with no channel history access. It receives direct messages sent to the bot and messages that @mention it, and that is all it sees. Each workspace's bot token is stored encrypted, and uninstalling the app deactivates it.
Does using the Slack app cost anything?
The app itself is free. Campaign and media runs spend POPJAM credits exactly like the web app, from the same balance, and a campaign launch replies with the credit estimate up front. Chatting with the copilot and checking status, labs, or credits is free.
What happens when a campaign finishes?
Anything launched from Slack is subscribed to the thread it came from. When the run completes, the bot posts the results where you asked: the top ad creatives with simulated audience reactions, the insight count, and a deep link into the lab session in the web app. Media tasks upload the generated image or video straight into the thread as a Slack file.
How is this different from the POPJAM MCP server?
Same engine, different door. The MCP server is for your AI agent: Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT calling 20 curated tools over one URL. The Slack app is for your team: conversations, slash commands, and an App Home dashboard in the workspace where marketing already happens. Labs, credits, and copilot memory are shared, so a conversation started in Slack continues in the web app or over MCP.
Does it work in any Slack workspace?
Yes. The Add to Slack button installs the app into any workspace via OAuth; each workspace gets its own credentials, and every teammate links their own POPJAM account. Campaigns run against the linked user's organization and spend that organization's credits.
